MADRID, 18 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Argentine point guard Facundo Campazzo admitted on Tuesday that he considers himself the “best player” since he left Real Madrid the previous time and that “now we have to show it” again wearing the Merengue club’s shirt, where he will return to the military until the 30th of June 2027.

“I feel good physically. I consider myself to be the better player since I left and now I have to show it on a day-to-day basis. You have to work hard, keep trying to achieve your goals, fight for titles, be part of this team that tries to achieve everything always”, declared to the official media of Real Madrid.

“It means a lot, both for me and for my family, to return to what I feel is my home. I always had good moments here. They gave me the opportunity to show me the player I am and I will always be grateful,” Campazzo said after his return to a club with which he won 11 titles in his day (including two Euroleagues and three Endesa Leagues).

In addition, Campazzo extended his thanks to people with whom he continued to maintain contact. “Since I left until today,” he stressed, later mentioning “important” people “such as the president, management, friends, players, ‘staff’, cart people… I have kept in touch with a lot of people “, he assured.

“The relationships that I have left here, friends and colleagues, are the ones that I miss the most and that has also pushed me to return. My family loves Madrid, the team, my daughter was born here and the comfort of the family was very important for be calm and they are happy,” he said.

The Argentine stressed that his role for coach Chus Mateo will be “what he needs.” “Whatever he asks of me, I will try to give 100 percent, added to my identity and what brought me here, to my heart, to give everything in each game, from defense, my experience, in attack… And adapt to the team,” he added about it.

“Whenever Madrid is talked about, they talk about titles and with each title that comes our way we have to try to achieve it. We are going to work every day all season to win each title that comes our way, we are going to try to give everything in each game so that we fight for the important things again and we are going to give up everything for that goal”, he argued about the pressure of winning each tournament.

Finally, Campazzo recalled the impact on his life of the first stage as a merengue player. “Since I was part of this team, they have always shown me a lot of affection and I want to go back to the WiZink Center and experience a game,” he said. “The first thing is to thank the fans for the love they always give me and, second, that I will try to give all my heart to each game,” he finally predicted.
