MADRID, 14 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Real Madrid’s French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga will not be able to play in Wednesday’s European Super Cup final against Italian side Atalanta and will miss several weeks of competition due to a left knee injury sustained on Tuesday in the last training session before the match at the National Stadium in Warsaw.
The international had to leave the official session in the final stages after a bad move when fighting for the ball with his compatriot Aurélien Tchouaméni and the medical report provided by the club confirmed the bad omens.
“Following tests carried out on our player Eduardo Camavinga, he has been diagnosed with a sprain of the internal collateral ligament in his left knee. Pending evolution,” Real Madrid said on its website.
The French midfielder will therefore face a period of absence that could extend into October, meaning he will almost certainly miss not only his first official title but also the start of LaLiga EA Sports and the Champions League, which will somewhat undermine an area where he was one of those destined to fill the void left by the German Toni Kroos.
