Caicedo ends Lazio's losing streak

Lazio suffered this Friday to beat bottom crotone, who leveled the advantage of Simone Inzaghi's team twice, but finally the Romans prevailed thanks to a goal from Felipe Caicedo in the match that opened the 27th round of Serie A ( 3-2). The Romans, who are seventh, 3 points behind the Champions League, had three consecutive defeats between the championship and the Champions League itself, with one match won from the last four.

Caicedo, who entered through an opaque Friday Ciro Immobile, was the one who resolved in the 84th minute for Lazio, who took the lead twice, the first thanks to Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and the second thanks to Luis Alberto. But Kwankwo Simy called both times.

Milinkovic-Savic scored in the 14th minute, assisted by Radu, neutralizing the Nigerian advantage for Crotone in the 29th minute. Luis Alberto made it 2-1 in the 39 'with an excellent shot from the edge of the area to pass from Immobile, but Simy equalized again, in this case from a penalty, in the 50'. Simy has twelve goals in the current Serie A and became the top scorer in the history of Crotone, with 58 ‘goals’.

Simone Inzaghi's team saw a difficult match they faced as a clear favorite and needed a great save from Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina after a one-on-one with Andrea Rispoli to avoid falling behind on the scoreboard.

But in the 84th minute, Caicedo controlled a shot from Argentine Gonzalo Escalante in the area and surpassed the goalkeeper with a powerful shot with his right foot that gave Lazio victory. The Ecuadorian has seven goals in Serie A and was reunited with the goal two months after the last time.
