The best Lozano has returned. The Honduran striker was again decisive for Cádiz, with a double against Oviedo which places the yellows a step closer to the long-awaited direct ascent. With the two goals he scored against the Carbayones, the striker already has nine, (second highest scorer of the team), just one goal out of the ten he achieved during the 2015-16 season (when he played for Tenerife), his best record since joining the Spanish League.
Also, this double is the third of his career since playing in Spain, to which must be added eleven more (and a hat-trick), scored when he played at Olimpia, in Honduras. The last time you saw a double door was just over three years ago, in Tenerife and playing against Huesca. If there is something clear, it is that the Honduran is one of the most fit players in Cádiz since LaLiga returned. Since then he has played 338 minutes, (spread over six games), in which has scored three goals (one every 112 minutes).
But if there is one aspect in which you can see how key their goals are, it is when they arrive. Of the nine goals, seven went to open the scoring, (Almería, Huesca, Zaragoza, Málaga, Mirandés, Lugo and Oviedo), one to match (before the Alcorcón) and the remainder, the second he scored against Oviedo. Also, Cádiz never lost when Choco saw the door: five wins and three draws.
After the match, Lozano recognized the importance of victory: “We are one step away from achieving important things and we must have a cold mind to continue fighting to the end. Victory gives us a lot of confidence. Before we had not done things wrong but today we left goal to zero and the defensive solidity keeps us in the first place. Up we put goals and that gives us the position. “
