Ledesma. Benzema's penalty shot was about to stop, but the ball was very tight. In the next two goals he could do little else. The rest of the time he was fine, attentive and coming out safely when necessary.
Iza Carcelén. A first failure in the penalty ruined his game by taking him out of the match. In the 28th minute he committed the foul on Vinicius who, after a VAR review, ended up in a penalty and saw the yellow card. Bad also in the play that ended with a goal from Odriozola. The portuense lost the ball and Benzema gave the assistance. Iza was no longer in the meeting. He was replaced at halftime by Akapo.
Fali. He started as a center-back and, except for certain inaccuracies, he fulfilled in a complicated game. After the break, Cervera made a move and Fali went on to play as a midfielder for José Mari, where he showed that he has vision of the game. He put some good center to the area.
Marcos Mauro. He also had his inaccuracies and perhaps he could do something else to avoid a goal. Removing those moments when no one was up to the task, the Argentine did a good job.
'Pacha ’Espino. The side was not well in a game of maximum demands. Bad in Odriozola's goal. The Uruguayan lost sight of Odriozola, forgetting him behind him and letting him finish with his head at will. He suffered a lot against a very difficult opponent and was replaced in the 65th minute by Iván Alejo with a view to the next match.
Salvi. It started with many revolutions and even saw the yellow card in minute 7. Once the game got uphill it disappeared because there were no cons. He was warned and will miss the next game against Valladolid. He was replaced at halftime by ‘Choco’.
Jonsson. As soon as the match started, he had the opportunity to overtake the yellows after a pass from Negredo, but he went off track. Complicated match, but the Danish did, who left everything. He saw the yellow card, he was another of those warned and he will not be able to play against Valladolid either.
Jose Mari. It was in the same line as the team and the party. He started well, but after the penalty he also noticed the deconcentration and was losing while making inaccuracies. He was replaced at halftime by Cala and Fali went to midfield.
Jairo Izquierdo. He started out as a winger and his activity had to focus mainly on helping ‘Pacha’ Espino. He sacrificed himself throughout the game. Once Espino was substituted, it was Jairo who acted as a winger and he fully complied.
Negredo. A few minutes after starting, he already showed his quality by imposing his corpulence to gain possession. He left details of his quality and experience generating dangerous situations in favor of his team. It did not last long because the penalty ended the Cádiz game and the forwards disappeared by not attacking. Replaced at half-time by Saponjic.
Ruben Nephew. All lung, but found no reward. The game became difficult for the yellows and even more so for the forwards. He had the last chance of the game, but he hit him badly and the ball went straight into the hands of Courtois.
From the bench
Akapo. He was the substitute for Iza after the break. It was not good, he made mistakes that could cost another goal against. He saw the yellow one at added time.
Juan Cala. Entered for the second part by José Mari. He was encouraged with a header at the door after a corner kick. Solid and serious in the center of the rear.
Saponjic. He entered the field of play after the break for Álvaro Negredo. He was not seen much, it was not an easy day for the forwards.
‘Choco’ Lozano. He entered after the break for Salvi Sánchez. He tried it in front of goal with some timid shots, but failed to move the Cadiz marker.
Ivan Alejo. He replaced ‘Pacha’ Espino in the 65th minute when Cervera already wanted to reserve some starters who were ready for next Saturday's appointment. It brought freshness per band.
Alvaro Cervera. The Cádiz coach was brave and did not give up the game for lost before starting. He came out with his best eleven, but the penalty deconcentrated the whole team and the win came. He was smart with his changes after the break, reserving part of his starting players for the next game, some of them warned of sanction.
