The final phase of the 2021/22 season of LaLiga Genuine, Santander, a pioneering and unique competition in the world developed by LaLiga through its Foundation, was decided this Sunday in Bilbao with the victory in its various classifications of Burgos, Cádiz, Barça Foundation and Athletic Club Foundation.
More than 1,000 male and female players and coaching staff belonging to teams from all corners of the Spanish territory gathered at the Ciudad Deportiva de Lezama.
After the matches on Saturday, the VIP ring of the San Mamés stadium brought together the entire Genuine community for a dinner with entertainment and music activities that delighted all attendees.
On Sunday, once the last matches of the weekend were over, the stars of LaLiga had a mass bath in the already legendary closing ceremony, with a party among the 42 teams during the delivery of medals and trophies to the winning teams.
The president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, and the president of the Athletic Club management committee, Aitor Elizegi, have been in charge of presiding over the ceremony, accompanied by other institutions of Athletic Club and LaLiga, as well as the associated brands of the competition.
After three phases spread over five venues, the four winners of the 2021/2022 season are Burgos CF, Cádiz CF, Fundació Barça and Athletic Club Fundazioa. The Castilian team lifted the Respeto group champion trophy, having achieved a total of 27 points.
For its part, Cádiz CF won the Sportsmanship group sports trophy with 26 points, while the Barça Foundation finished the season as champions of the Companionship group, with 27 points. Athletic Club Fundazioa was proclaimed Fair Play champion for the fourth consecutive year with 269 points.
“We finished the fourth season, thinking about the fifth, and with a reflection in mind, that society has a lot to learn from all of you. Our role is to teach and transmit the true values of football: sportsmanship, companionship and love of true. Thanks to all the players, coaches and families, all this is thanks to you”, said Tebas.
