Brown’s house T. Dawand Jones as well as DT Maurice Hurst II are both out with injuries and can’t play.

The Cleveland Browns have put DT Maurice Hurst II (pectoral) and T Dawand Jones (knee) on injured reserve.

The team also brought DE Sam Kamara from the training squad onto the main roster. QB P.J. Walker has also been added to the workout squad.

Jones was picked in the fourth round of the draft and has started nine games at right tackle.

This season, Hurst has played in all 13 games and has 22 stops, 1.5 sacks, one interception, three passes defensed, and a fumble recovery.

Kamara (6-0, 272) is in his second season in the NFL after coming from Stony Brook. He was signed by the Chicago Bears as a free agent without being drafted in 2021 and has played in nine games so far.

subsequently has been on the Browns’ practice squad for most of 2022 and 2023. In 2022, he played in one game. He will wear number 92.

Along with two starts, Walker played in six games for the Browns this season. He has completed one pass for 674 yards and a score. He has played in 21 games and started nine of them.

Starting offensive lineman Jedrick Wills Jr. had surgery on his knee on Tuesday, ending his season. He had been on injured reserve but could have come back for the final push.

Also, defensive tackle Maurice Hurst hurt his pectoral during Sunday’s 31–27 win over Jacksonville. He will not be able to play for the rest of the season.

The Browns picked up the fifth-year extension on Wills’ rookie deal in May. He will make $14 million a year next season.

It was decided that Hurst and rookie left right tackle Dawand Jones would not play again because they were hurt. Jones is going to have surgery on his right knee because he hurt it last week in practice.

With Wills’s departure, the Browns (8-5) are missing three of their best tacklers as they try to make the playoffs for their second consecutive year since 2002. In the first game of the season, two-time All-Pro Jack Conklin tore ligaments in his knee.

Deshaun Watson, the quarterback, hurt his shoulder in Week 1, and Nick Chubb, the star running back, hurt his knee.

Rodney McLeod, the safety, hurt his biceps. During the training, Jakeem Grant (knee) and Jacob Phillips (pectoral) got hurt.

Wills got hurt on November 5 when Cardinals defensive tackle Leki Fotu ran into him during a game against Arizona.

He was put on injured reserve so the Browns could wait for the 2020 first-round pick in Alabama to come back.

That won’t happen, though, because Wills chose to have surgery. His surgery was done by team doctor Dr. James Voos. The team stated that “a full recovery is expected for the start of the 2024 season.”

The Browns said on Monday that Jones would be absent the rest of the season. The 6-foot-8, 375-pound Ohio State player who filled in for Conklin had a good season.

Hurst, who is 28 years old, has been a great addition to Cleveland’s league-leading defense up front. Without him, the team will be even less deep.

Hurst wrote on X, which used to be Twitter, “My 2023 season is over, and the frustration is unbearable.”

“However, I want to thank my teammates, coaches, staff, and the city of Cleveland for making me feel welcome and like I’m part of the family.” I’ll be better when I come back.”

QB P.J. Walker was put back on the team’s practice squad after he passed waivers. Walker started both games and got off the bench for the third one after Watson hurt his shoulder more against Indianapolis.

Kamara is currently playing his second season in the NFL after coming from Stony Brook. He signed the Chicago Bears as a free agent without being drafted in 2021 and has played in nine games so far.

Kamara has been on the Browns’ practice squad for most of this season and last season. He has played in six games for the Browns this year and has started two of them. He has completed one pass for 674 yards and a score.
