For David Broncano, getting out of bed early, work-wise, is not easy. That is what has happened to the comedian imposed by Pedro Sánchez on TVE to compete with Pablo Motos and his collaborators: they have preferred to stretch out the summer instead of sacrificing a few days of vacation to advance their premiere ahead of The AnthillThat’s what Carlos Latre did on Telecinco. “However, I am amazed at the impetus and fury with which a joke is attacked and judged, even if it hurts you, when we hear such barbarities every day at every meeting, and these are not funny, eh… I know that Movistar has not acted in this way because of pressure from anyone. There has been pressure with a thousand other jokes we have made and they have never said anything to us,” he said.
The previous year, the PSOE in Huelva had already protested against the jokes made on SER’s La vida moderna about the city. “It is a great achievement to be a champion, being from Huelva. You shouldn’t mess with Huelva too much, they already have enough of them,” said Ignatius Farray to the laughter of Broncano.
SER stated that “despite there being an ongoing debate about the limits of humour, which could contextualise this episode, the mere fact that a single person feels offended by comments made on this programme obliges Cadena SER to apologise for it.”
