MADRID, 24 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Leganés forward Borja Garcés has been the main protagonist this Saturday after the defeat of the cucumber team (1-2) against Tenerife without having played a single minute after having left for a wedding in Melilla, his homeland, without the pertinent permission of the club or its technician Asier Garitano.
“It is an aberration and a real barbarity. And I am not going to allow it with any player. As long as I am here he will not play again,” Garitano said about Garcés at the press conference after the defeat at Municipal Butarque.
Garcés, 22, is on loan to Leganés from Atlético de Madrid, the team to which he belongs and with whom he made the last preseason. However, the young Melilla did not convince Diego Pablo Simeone and ended up looking for a club close to home to have minutes.
This Saturday he would have been an important player for Leganés who have their other two injured forwards: Sabin Merino and Jon Bautista. The cucumber club is not going through its best moment in the SmartBank League, where it occupies the twentieth position with 10 points out of 36 possible.
