After six years of an investigation on suspicion of conspiracy, Michael Platini and the former president of the FIFA Sepp Blatter They appear from this Wednesday in Switzerland for the suspicious payment case that broke their career in 2015.

From 9:00 local time and until June 22, the Federal Criminal Court of Bellinzona (southeast) will judge the 66-year-old Frenchman and the 86-year-old Swiss for “fraud”, “unfair management”, “abuse of trust” and “false titles”, before passing sentence on July 8.

The prosecution accuses the two former leaders of having “illegally obtained, to the detriment of FIFA, a payment of 2 million Swiss francs” (1.8 million euros) “in favor of Michel Platini.”
