There is good news for Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool manager: he has Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita back. The right back and the midfielder were able to resume collective training after their respective injuries and both are in a position to play this Sunday against Wolves in a Premier match.
“I do not know if they are to start and play 90 minutes, but they are to return to the team,” said Klopp about both players, who can therefore once again have one of the key pieces of his Liverpool, Alexander-Arnold and with Keita.
Alexander-Arnold, 22, was injured in the match against Manchester City on November 8 (1-1), when he had to be replaced by James Milner. The right back 'red' suffered a calf injury. The forecast was that he would be absent for a month and it has been fulfilled.
For the role of Alexander-Arnold in the Liverpool game, another important absence for Klopp, whose squad is being weakened by injuries, starting with that of Virgil van Dijk, who will probably miss the remainder of the season.
Naby Keita, meanwhile, suffered a muscle injury on 22 November in the game against Leicester (which ended in a 3-0 win for the Anfield team). The ‘red’ team is 2nd in the Premier table, but with the same points as the leader, José Mourinho's Tottenham.
