Betis wants Leandro Cabrera

Real Betis needs seasoned defenders for next season and has set his sights on Espanyol's central defender Leandro Cabrera, signed in the past winter market by parakeets after paying Getafe the nine million euro termination clause.

The Uruguayan central, 29 years old and 1.90 meters, could leave Espanyol on loan in the event that a club took over of his card, in a situation similar to that of the striker Raúl de Tomás, as stipulated in the contracts of both, in case of relegation -which is already mathematical-, since they arrived at Espanyol when the club was going through a very difficult qualifying situation.

Betis has Leandro Cabrera on their agenda for a long timebecause he already showed an interest in sign him when he played for Zaragoza, between 2014 and 2017. Now he is again interested in his transfer, as indicated by RAC-1

Cabrera was signed by Atlético de Madrid in youth age 11 years ago, after paying 1.5 million euros to the Defender of Montevideo, although with the mattresses he has only played 4 games: he has played 114 with Zaragoza, 66 with Getafe, 40 with Hercules, 34 with Numancia, 33 at Real Madrid Castilla, 14 with Espanyol, 12 at Recreativo and 7 at Crotone, as he was traded after playing only 3 at Defensor de Montevideo.
