Betis receives 30 proposals for the New Benito Villamarín Stadium project

MADRID, 27 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Betis reported this Monday that it has received a total of 30 proposals, among which are the main benchmarks in the sector worldwide, for the project of the future New Stadium for the Verdiblanco team and its urban and commercial development.

As indicated by the Andalusian club, the deadline for submitting applications ended last Tuesday and to access the project all interested architecture studios had to show “their experience in the construction of top-level stadiums, as well as their business and technical training to develop this historical project for the verdiblanca entity”.

Betis celebrated “the maximum interest” that this international competition has aroused “given the quantity and quality of the proposals received, among which are the main references in the sector worldwide.” In Asia, 11 national and 19 international proposals have competed for this first term, highlighting candidacies from the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany.

The next step in this contest will be the review of all the documentation received and later those responsible for the Stadium Project will decide which proposals make the cut to enter its final phase. As of March 31, the contestants will know if their proposal is among those selected or not.

“Real Betis Balompié is pleased with the enormous impact that the contest has had on our industry, which augurs a high quality and competitiveness for the choice of the winning idea for the future Benito Villamarín Stadium”, stressed the Verdiblanco club.
