Bernabéu 'turns' 125 years

It hasn't been another day in Almansa. Today 125 years of birth were celebrated in the La Mancha town of Santiago Bernabéu de Yeste. Last Tuesday it was 42 years since his death, but since last week no tribute could be made at the grave of the historic president of Real Madrid for Albacete still in Phase 1, he took advantage of the fact that today he has gone to Phase 2 and it coincided with his 125th birthday to pay tribute to his memory.

The same went representatives of the Madrid club of Almansa, with its president Pepe Jiménez at the helm, as well as the nephew of the legendary president, Ignacio Bernabéu. All of them posed next to the grave of Bernabéu with their masks on.

It was nice the gift that the Bernabéu nephew gave to the peña almanseña. The signature book of all the Madridistas from the town, which dates back to 1961, in which Don Santiago made an official visit to his countrymen.
