Benzema, low for the game against Getafe

MADRID, 7 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema will be absent for this Saturday’s game (9:00 p.m.) against Getafe, after playing two full games after his return from injury, joining the confirmed absences of Dani Ceballos and Thibaut Courtois.

The Frenchman will rest and will not be at the Coliseum, to recover from muscle fatigue caused by the two consecutive games, against Osasuna and Shakhtar, which the striker completed. Ancelotti decides to rest Benzema, before a week in which he will face the Ukrainian team, next Tuesday (9:00 p.m.), with the pass to the crosses at stake, and Barça in the Clásico on Sunday, October 16 ( 4:15 p.m.).

The Real Madrid captain joins a casualty list that already includes Dani Ceballos, with a biceps femoris injury, and Thibaut Courtois, who is still recovering from sciatica. Lucas Cañizares enters the call again to complete the list of goalkeepers.

Thus, the list is completed by goalkeepers Lunin, Luis López and Cañizares; defenders Carvajal, Militao, Alaba, Vallejo, Nacho, Odriozola, Rüdiger and Mendy; Kroos, Modric, Camavinga, Valverde, Lucas Vázquez and Tchouameni, as midfielders; and forwards Hazard, Asensio, Vinicius Júnior, Rodrygo and Mariano.
