Javier Belman (22 years old) has found his place in professional football in Fuenlabrada. After training in the Real Madrid quarry and starting at Castilla with Raúl, Last summer the Alicante faced his first experience outside La Fábrica in the Fuenla.
The season began in the shadow of Pol Freixanet, the most experienced goalkeeper, but since he was given the opportunity against Atlético Baleares in the Copa del Rey (0-1 victory), he won the title without question: he has played the last five league games. In total he has six games played and in half of them he has remained without conceding a goal.
This good personal performance takes on even more value because it comes at a negative moment for the team, with only one victory in those five games. That has cost Sandoval his job, who has been fired. Oltra is the new coach of Fuenlabrada and it is taken for granted that he will continue to have Belman as his starting goalkeeper.
The goalkeeper continues to belong to Real Madrid, who gave him up until the end of this season, when the contract ends. In that loan a clause was included whereby Fuenlabrada will remain with him in property If he plays a minimum of matches that everything does indicate that he will comply.
However, in Madrid they are aware that he is a goalkeeper with a lot of projection and they will keep a right of first refusal on him. The idea is for him to train in Fuenlabrada, gain experience in professional football and then decide whether to return to the Bernabéu, either to be part of the first team or to later transfer him to a First team.
