MADRID, 23 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish driver Belén García will debut her 2023 season in the Asian Le Mans Series, the winter championship organized by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest and scheduled for next February 2023.
According to reports from the press department of the Barcelonan, she will try to once again demonstrate the great speed and rhythm she had in the Michelin Le Mans Cup races in Portimao (Portugal) and in the French Ultimate Cup in Paul Ricard (France).
García will repeat at the wheel of a Ligier JS P320 LMP3 prototype prepared by the French Graff team, and which he has shown to have quickly caught the pulse, along with Eric Trouillet and Sébastian Page, the same drivers with whom he achieved victory last November in Le Castellet.
“This is my official debut in prototypes, now yes, in a full-time championship. The Asian Le Mans Series is a very competitive event and in which there is no room for error, since its four appointments are held per game double in two consecutive weekends”, celebrated the Catalan pilot.
García is “very eager to start this new challenge” and that he faces “with the illusion of fighting for victory.” “We are going all out because I know we have the right tools and the necessary human group to achieve it,” he wished.
The Asian Le Mans Series has, for now, a total of 15 teams registered in the LMP3 category, which will share the grid with another nine LMP2 and 24 GT cars. The discipline’s 2023 calendar is extremely compact, as its four races, all four hours long, take place on two consecutive weekends in February.
The debut will come on Sunday, February 12, at the Dubai Autodrome, the same location for the second round, which will start the following day, while the championship will conclude with a new double visit to the Yas Marina track, in Abu Dhabi, on the 18th. and February 19.
