It's hard to believe all the noise that has been around the bench and the Bayern Munich management after just a few months ago they achieved a historic sextet, but it has been something constant throughout the year. The bad relationship between Hasan Salihamidzic, sports director, and coach Hansi Flick created a climate of tension that has led to the surprise announcement of the coach expressing his willingness to want to terminate his contract this summer.
Much had been said about the internal war at Bayern, with President Karl-Heinz Rummenigge being the man trying to defuse the situation, but Flick's message caught many by surprise, including Bayern itself. The Bavarian team has released a statement from the Board of Directors this morning in which they claim that Flick had communicated its intentions to the managers last week, but that both parties had agreed to focus on the next three games “so as not to interfere with the full concentration of the club”.
“FC Bayern disapproves of the one-sided communication that has now occurred by Hansi Flick and will continue the talks as agreed after the match in Mainz, “the statement signed by the Bayern Board of Directors conclusively states. The club did not like that Flick skipped the dates they had agreed and made public his intentions after the victory against Wolfsburg.
It does not seem that a fruitful relationship that in less than a year has led Bayern to be the second European team to win the sextet is not going to end in the best way. Everything indicates that the future of Flick will be on the bench of the National Team, while Bayern already have to start looking for a replacement.
