Bautista: “It was a forced exit from MotoGP, but I’m happy to have discovered Superbike”

The Spanish motorcycling driver Álvaro Bautista (Ducati) acknowledged on Tuesday that despite his “forced” exit from MotoGP, he is “very happy” to have discovered the Superbike (WorldSBK) championship, of which he was proclaimed champion in November this same year.

“It was a forced exit from MotoGP, but I am happy to have discovered this championship. I am proud of how I have managed each situation, I have been strong. I hope many people start to follow this championship now,” said the athlete in statements to the media during the AS Sports Awards.

In addition, the world champion confessed that he lives a “second youth” and acknowledged that he is in one of his best professional moments. “I’ve been working very well for a couple of years, I feel like I’m in my second youth. I’m in one of the best moments of my sports career. I’m enjoying the bike a lot, I’m not feeling pressure like when I was young. On top of the results They are accompanying,” he said.

Finally, the pilot did not want to talk about his retirement and made it clear that he still does not have it in mind. “I am enjoying it much more. I have everything much clearer.
