Barragán says goodbye to Betis and Isla is emerging as his replacement

Antonio Barragán said goodbye this Thursday through a message from Real Betis Balompié fans. It was an open secret that the Seville side was not going to continue after three seasons at the Verdiblanco club, with which he ended his contract on June 30, although he extended it for a few weeks – without charging – to help the team in recent games League.

The place vacated by Barragán on the right side may soon be occupied by Chilean international Mauricio Isla, with whom Real Betis is holding advanced negotiations for his incorporation for the next two seasons with the option of a third. Isla would arrive with the freedom letter after fulfilling her contract in the Turkish Fenerbahce.

In the three seasons he has played in Heliópolis, Antonio Barragán has played 69 games. This last campaign has participated in fourteen games, twelve in LaLiga Santander and two in Copa del Rey.

Barragán has published a farewell message on his social networks that is as follows:

“Today one of the most beautiful stages for me on a professional and personal level closes, today I say goodbye to Real Betis Balompié. During these three seasons I have lived unforgettable moments in this club and I have defended its colors with pride, for that reason I want to thank all those who have accompanied me on this adventure.

First of all, I want to thank my colleagues, with whom I have shared so many hours of travel, training and who, above all, have been by my side during good times and not so good times. I also want to thank all those who form this great family that is Betis: coaching staff, utilleros, assistants and other staff of the entity. I also do not forget our great fans, the best in the League, it has been a pride to play for you this time and feel your spirits in every game.

Thank you for all the love you have made me feel.

Bético says goodbye forever.

Antonio Barragan ”.
