Barcelona will pay tribute to victims of COVID-19 with 'El cant dels ocells'

The FC Barcelona will honor the coronavirus victims before the match of LaLiga that the Barça team will play this Tuesday against Leganés at the Camp Nou, where it will sound 'El cant dels ocells'.

By the stadium markers a video starring nine cellists from the Orquesta del Gran Teatre del Liceu that will be broadcast in the preview of the meeting and in which they will perform, on the stadium lawn, the famous traditional Catalan melody made popular by Pau Casals.

And it is because of the pandemic, the musicians will not be physically at the Camp Nou playing live, because the piece was recorded last Thursday, June 10 at the Camp Nou, following all the relevant health and safety protocols.

After the tribute to the victims, the ball will take center stage in a venue without an audience in the stands. Although the team will not have the support of their fans, FC Barcelona has deployed various actions so that during the game Setien's men do not feel completely alone.

So, in the stadium you can listen to a version of the Barça anthem sung a cappella by Barça fans, in an audiovisual montage that will be broadcast by the video markers of the Camp Nou.

As for the stands, a mosaic with the motto 'Here we play tots' will be placed on the side (Here we all play), and there will also be several banners of the Animation Space and the Peñas which will help transmit heat to the players.
