Tarragona and Granollers will host the exits of the second and third stages

The Tour de France 2026 will begin from Barcelona on July 4, 2026 with a recovery counterreloj by teams of almost 20 kilometers and end up high, while the second stage of the ‘Grand Départ’ of the gala round will have Tarragona as a city as a city of departure and arrival again in the Catalan capital, being Granollers (Barcelona) the exit of the third stage, last in Spanish territory.

The first part of the route will be flat and will pass through the Vendrell, Vilanova and La Geltrú or Sitges. But it will be a hard ending capable of changing the general, with a final circuit with three climbs to the castle of Montjuïc.
The third stage will be released on July 6 from Granollers (Barcelona), but the final route will be announced during the official presentation of all stages of the Tour de France. Previously, on July 2, the official presentation of all the teams participating in the Tour 2026 will take place in Barcelona.
