Barça B 'signs' Ansu Fati to move up to the Second Division

Ansu Fati and Riqui Puig have all the ballots to play with Barça in the phase of promotion to the Second Division that takes place in Marbella from July 18 to 26. The sports management has already informed both players that they will be registered with the second team as reinforcements to try to get to LaLiga Smartbank, priority objective of the Catalan team.

In addition to turning to winning with the first team LaLiga and the Champions, the leaders of Barça want the subsidiary to ascend to Second Division A. When the competition for the Coronavirus pandemic stopped, the team led by García Pimienta was second in his group of Segunda B, with the same points as Sabadell and Cornellà and with one point less than Castellón.

The promotion of the subsidiary was set as a goal from the beginning of the season and is based on economic and sports criteria. In the Second Division, revenues for Barça B would increase and could be a minimum of 10 million in television rights plus a greater influx of public because in Second there are historical teams with appeal for the fan of Barcelona.

In the sporting field, Barça would also win with a team in the Second Division, they would recover loan players like Oriol Busquets and Miranda so that they will form in a competitive league and in Can Barça and other promises such as Pedri, Collado and Monchu, Riqui Puig or Araujo himself they should not leave on loan and would stay at Barça B in the Second. In addition, if the promotion is achieved, from within the club it has also been planned to recover the Barça C that disappeared in 2007.

Barça B has three games to ascend to Second. So much Ansu Fati, who has never played in the subsidiary and rose from youth to the first team, like Riqui Puig, they will be two luxury reinforcements of Barça B and, except for last-minute mishaps, García Pimienta will be able to count them and will give greater appeal to this new tournament that has been created by the decision of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) finishing the competition with a knockout of 16 teams (the first four of each group at the time of the break) in an 8-day tournament.

The final phase of promotion Second B to Second will be held in Andalusia. Marbella will be the main venue, although matches will also be played in Algeciras and Malaga. There are five stadiums chosen to play the tie: La Rosaleda, Nuevo Mirador de Algeciras, Municipal Stadium of Marbella, Centro Deportivo Marbella Fútbol Center and Ciudad de Málaga Stadium. The 14 matches will be played between July 18-26. Next Thursday, June 25, all crossings will be raffled, which will be played in a single match.

In principle, unless the authorities of the Community of Andalusia decide otherwise, all matches will be played behind closed doors. The 14 matches of the final phase will be broadcast exclusively through the Footters television platform.
