Barça and Real Madrid will open the Liga F against promoted Deportivo and Espanyol

Barça will open the 2024-2025 Liga F on the weekend of September 7 and 8 by facing newly promoted Deportivo de La Coruña away from home, while Real Madrid will do the same by visiting the other promoted team, RCD Espanyol, and Atlético de Madrid will host Granada, in a matchday with another duel between two historic teams such as Levante and Athletic Club.

According to the draw for the championship held this Monday at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas (Madrid), Barça and Real Madrid will meet on the tenth matchday, scheduled for the weekend of November 9-10 and at the home of the merengue team, and on the twenty-third, with the Blaugrana club at home, on the weekend of March 22-23, 2025.

In addition, the reigning champions will play in the ninth round, one week before facing the Madrid team, at the home of Atlético de Madrid, who will visit them in the twenty-fifth round scheduled for 12-13 April.

The Madrid derby between Atlético and Atletico will be one of the first clashes of the season for both teams, as they will meet on matchday 6 (12-13 October) at the Alfredo di Stefano, and on matchday 16, opening the second round on 25-26 January, with Atlético at home.

Other notable derbies will be those between Real Sociedad and Athletic Club, who will also face each other for the first time on matchday 10 with the San Sebastian team at home, while the first Sevilla-Betis match will be played on matchday 15 on 18-19 January with the Sevilla team at home.

Levante-Valencia will be played on matchday 9 and this season the Catalan derby between Barça and Espanyol will be played again, which will have its first edition of the season on 12-13 October on matchday 6 with the ‘culers’ at home.
