Bakambú, on Sevilla’s agenda

Sevilla joins the list of clubs interested in signing Cédric Bakambu. The Congolese striker has terminated his contract with Beijing Guoan and would arrive with the release letter. In addition to the Nervión club, Marseille and Galatasaray also have the former Villarreal player on their agenda. Nevertheless, the footballer will give priority to Sevilla if the contacts advance.

The Seville club seeks to reinforce itself with a winger and a forward or a player who can adapt to both positions. At the moment, Lopetegui only has Rafa Mir and youth squad Iván Romero as tips, since En-Nesyri and Munir meet at the Africa Cup. Bakambu fits into Monchi’s plans thanks to his technical characteristics and the fact that he already knows the League after a soldier at Villarreal from 2015 to 2018. His salary would not be a problem, since The Congolese forward considers the project of his next team more important than the financial aspect.

Months ago, Bakambú was one of the forwards that Barcelona had on the table as an option to reinforce their attack. In fact, the footballer himself referred to that interest recently, in an interview with ‘Footmercato’: “It is flattering that they associate you with Barcelona.”
