Mallorca, Betis, Athletic and Leganés pass without distress to sixteenths
Osasuna, Villarreal, Granada and Valladolid suffer to get the ticket
MADRID, Jan. 11 (SportsFinding) –
Getafe was the only First Division team that fell on Saturday's second round, after succumbing to its visit to Badalona (2-0), while others such as Valladolid, Osasuna or Villarreal suffered to certify their presence in the Round of 16 of the 'KO' competition.
In the Municipal stadium of Badalona, Getafe hit the knee before a Second B opponent in a match that was marked by the expulsion of David Timor at half an hour. The blow to an opponent of the Valencian player conditioned the azulones, who also suffered with the artificial turf of the Badalonian field.
Chema Moreno scored the 1-0 five minutes from the end, with a placid auction on the edge of the small area, and Hugo Esteban rounded the local party with an unappealable foul kick for Chichizola. The Badalona makes history and access among the 32 best teams of the Copa del Rey at the expense of one of the revelations of the season.
In addition, Villarreal, Osasuna and Valladolid had to put on their overalls to stay alive in the Cup. The 'Yellow Submarine' needed the extension and a double by Gerard Moreno to eliminate the humble Orihuela, while the pucelanos equaled Marbella to eight minutes from the end with a goal by Enes Unal and they took the pass in the penalty shootout.
For its part, the Osasuna Athletic Club also experienced many troubles in El Mazo, until Chimy Ávila came to the rescue. In the 72nd minute, the Haro was ahead by an accurate header from Mikel Bueno. But immediately, Nacho Vidal made the 1-1 with a volley from outside the area, after a short clearance from the rival goalkeeper; and then Avila appreciated in the 90 'to catch a long ball and finish with a shot down his dangerous sprint.
Meanwhile, Mallorca, Betis, Athletic and Leganés, all of them First Division clubs, passed this Saturday without anguish to the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey, thanks to their respective victories against Zamora (0-1), Portugalete (0-3) and Real Murcia (0-4).
The vermilion team took forward their visit to the icy Ruta de la Plata stadium. A lonely goal by Aleix Febas, finishing off an attack washed out by the left wing, truncated the hopes of Zamora to access some sixteenths where Zaragoza and Mirandés will also be.
The hands, with their fortune on their side, beat the Nàstic 1-3. Two goals in their own goal were scored by the locals in the first act, leading the victory for a rival who sentenced with a left-footed shot by Giorgi Papunashvili in the final leg, and leaving insufficient the goal of Pol Ballesteros for the whole of Tarragona.
The Mirandés did suffer to beat UCAM Murcia 2-3, with extension included. Cristian González and Iñigo Vicente traced in the second half the initial goal of Javi Moreno for the 'university students', although Víctor Díaz caused that extra time with his goal in the 80'. Already there, Álvaro Rey in the 114th minute gave the visitors a chance.
Meanwhile, Betis and Leganés settled their commitments comfortably. In the field of La Florida, a great goal by Álex Moreno opened the scoring, after having controlled at the peak of the area and hooking a left-footed shot to the nearest squad. Loren Morón extended the Betic advantage as soon as he started the second half, head on a corner, and Joaquín Sánchez set the 0-3 with a crossed right (min. 89).
On the grass of the Enrique Roca stadium, the 'Lega' showed a great version especially from 0-1 (min. 36), scored by Guido Carrillo inside the area and taking advantage of a play poorly defended by Murcia. Upon returning from the locker room, two right-wing Martin Braithwaite at the back of the net guided the win; Carrillo himself scored 0-4, in a duel with a clear 'cucumber' domination.
In Sestao, Athletic Club had no problems to score for the same result against the greenish box, with goals from Yuri Berchiche and Asier Villalibre, while Granada did have more difficulties against the Canarian Tamaraceite. Doors advanced the Nasrids to the edge of the break in a match marked by the penalties failed by both bands, just in a minute, in pitches of Gonzalez and Vadillo.
SIX 'SECONDS' FALL ELIMINATED.
In addition, the second round of the Cup left the elimination of up to six teams of the Second Division against rivals of Second B. Deeds of the humblest football that left the road to Ponferradina, unable to knock Ebro, Albacete, Las Palmas, Huesca, Fuenlabrada and Cádiz, who gave in the penalty shootout against a brave Logroñés.
