Badajoz won the match held this Friday at El Prado 1-3. Talavera de la Reina arrived with the intention of returning to the path of victory after suffering a 1-0 loss in the previous match against Sanse. Regarding the visiting team, Badajoz did not go beyond the tables with a score of 0-0 against Racing de Santander. With this good result, the team from Badajoz is tenth, while Talavera is fifteenth at the end of the match.
The first team to score was the visiting team, who took advantage of the occasion to open the scoring through a goal from Santamaría in the 37th minute, concluding the first period with a 0-1 scoreline.
After the break came the goal for the local team, who got the tie with a goal from Rodrigo Rodrigues in the 60th minute. But later, Badajoz took the lead on the scoreboard, establishing the 1-2 thanks to Pardo’s goal in the minute 88. The team from Badajoz added again, who distanced themselves by making it 1-3 thanks to a goal from Zelu in stoppage time, specifically in minute 96, thus ending the duel with a final score of 1-3.
The Talavera coach, Víctor Cea, ushered in David Añón, Pablo Monroy, Dominguez, Víctor Ruiz and Perales to replace Toño Calvo, Choco, Jordi Ortega, Ernest Forgàs and Góngora, while Óscar Cano from Badajoz replaced Otegui, Adilson, Zelu and Adri Cuevas with Isi, Dani Aquino, Clemente and Concha.
The referee sanctioned three players with a yellow card. He showed two yellow cards to Jordi Ortega and Vicente Romero, from Talavera and one to Gallego from Badajoz.
With this victory, Badajoz rises to 34 points and is placed in tenth place in the standings. For its part, Talavera de la Reina remains with the 23 points with which it arrived at this day of the competition, in relegation to the Second Division.
