FC Barcelona’s Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang showed his joy at the signing of Pole Robert Lewandowski, with whom he shared a dressing room at Borrussia Dortmund in the 2013/14 season, where they scored 40 goals between them, so they will give “the best ” to improve their numbers.
“When the signing of Lewandowski became official, I was happy and happy. Now we have more experience and, therefore, we can do better than in the past. I’m sure that both of us will give our best to improve the numbers we had in the Dortmund”, said Aubameyang in an interview on ESPN FC that collects Europa Press.
The arrival of the Polish striker will increase the level of the ‘culé’ team. “I’m also very happy because Barça will be able to compete to win titles with all the great strikers they have; we also have very good midfielders and defenders,” he pointed out in the preseason in the United States.
The Frenchman Ousmane Dembélé, also a teammate of Aubameyang at Borussia Dortmund, will follow on the list of attackers. “The quality of him is absolutely insane and every time I play with him on the pitch I enjoy it,” he added.
Asked about the work of his coach Xavi Hernández, the striker highlighted his vision. “He has been one of the best players in the world, but as a coach he also has a good vision; he wants Barça to play with the ball under control and always looking forward”, he explained.
FC Barcelona is preparing for the pre-season test against Real Madrid in Las Vegas, which will be played at dawn on Sunday.
