Atleti looks to Italy: Vlahovic shoots up and Morata loses value

Atlético is focused on the present and the need to greatly improve their performance for, at least, make sure to finish one more season among the top four classified in LaLiga (in all the complete courses with Simeone he finished on the podium). But, looking more in the long term, there are points to be worked out up front that focus entirely on Italy.

A market managed by Andrea Berta and where decisions will have to be made. Con Luis Suárez facing his last six months of contract with Atlético, waiting to know if an extension is negotiated, the rojiblanco team still does not know the decision of Juventus on Álvaro Morata. The striker is in his second season on loan at Juventus, at 10 million per course, and has seven goals and three assists in 23 games. In the 2020-21 campaign his numbers were good (20 goals and 10 assists), but Juventus does not seem convinced of paying the 35 million that his definitive hiring would entail at the end of the course.

Meanwhile, Atlético also focused their efforts up in Serie A, trying to incorporate Dusan Vlahovic last summer by all means. Finally, there was no way to give Fiorentina’s arm to twist and the Serbian stayed at the club, but with an expiration date. He has refused to renew his contract, which ends in 2023 and next summer he faces a whole soap opera. Atlético could return to the charge, but with a much more voracious competition. And the new calibrations of the specialized page Transfermarkt do not help the rojiblanco club.

Morata has suffered a depreciation, and at 29 years old he loses price again. Its market value falls from 45 million to 35, just the figure that Juventus should pay. The Bianconero team is also one of those interested in Vlahovic, whose price does not stop growing. At just 21 years old, the Serbian has already converted in the second player in the entire Serie A with the highest price, increasing from 50 million to 70 (The first is Lautaro, who was also about to go to Atlético, with € 80M). In his favor, the forward plays with a decisive trick: with only one year of contract left, he will be able to force Fiorentina to favor his departure next summer. Atlético is attentive to Italy, first to find out what is happening with their striker on loan and second with the great desire of Berta and Simeone.
