Athletic Club fans present in the area designated for RCD Mallorca fans at the Estadio de la Cartuja in Seville in the Copa del Rey final will be able to wear t-shirts and insignia of their team, the Basque club has reported after the meeting security between the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the National Police.
“Athletic has been informed in the meeting prior to the Cup final that, finally, red and white shirts and badges will be able to be worn in the Mallorca area inside the La Cartuja Stadium,” said the Bilbao entity.
Athletic Club seeks to lift the trophy for the 24th time, 40 years after the last time they won it, while the vermillions dream of winning the second title in their history after 2003.
