Athletic returned to the path of victory away from San Mamés against a Cádiz that seems to have entered a spin. There was no color this time at Carranza. The lions, who were superior to the yellow ones from start to finish, disguised themselves as a scoring team in full telematic carnivals of the Silver Cup
The The first three visitors finished in the back of the net. Berenguer opened the scoring in minute 4, Unai López signed the second on the edge of 15 and Berenguer himself made the third before the first half hour. Neither the quadruple change led by Álvaro Cervera at halftime had an effect on the local squad. Williams, in a counter caused by a long punt, made the fourth at the first change.
The Basques take air on the table with this victory and leave the Andalusians a point above salvation. The trajectories of one and the other, however, are extremely different. While the people of Bilbao continue upwards, the people of Cadiz lose gas and jobs.
Álvaro, with the losses due to Marcos Mauro's suspension and Jonsson's injury, made three changes with respect to the team that had just lost at Anoeta. Alcalá and Espina entered the defense. Garrido, the vizcaíno, in the middle.
Marcelino's starting eleven was more surprising. The rojiblanco coach made four variations in relation to the team that was expected. Nuñez entered the axis of the rear by Iñigo Martínez, Unai López and Vesga exercised in the double pivot to the detriment of Vencedor and Dani García and Berenguer stood right-handed inside instead of De Marcos. Muniain, with back problems, was also part of the game.
The departure of the lions, in the midst of the strong gale prevailing in the Carranza, was devastating. Berenguer, after two approaches from Bilbao, opened the scoring in minute 4. Unai López, from a direct free kick, scored the second goal rojiblanco at the end of the quarter of an hour of play. Not even the yellow ones reacted with those.
Unlike. Athletic, feeling comfortable and loose at grass level, increased their advantage at the edge of half an hour with another Berenguer target. The Cadiz team, overwhelmed and weak in containment, lacked response capacity during this first half. A shot from Espina, offside, and little else. Berenguer, Williams and Vesga, however, were able to sign the fourth from Bilbao before the break.
It was around the locker room, with four changes of blow and thump in the Cadiz, its two interiors and its two points, when the 0-4 arrived. Nuñez cleared long, Williams started in own field in conflict with Cala and did not stop running until he beat Ledesma. The yellow push with forward pressure at the start of the second half lasted as long as it lasted efficiently.
