“The plan is to get a good result and that no one falls for the final”

The coach of CA Osasuna, Jagoba Arrasate, acknowledged that they have to “show their faces” at the Spotify Camp Nou against FC Barcelona, this Tuesday on matchday 33 of LaLiga Santander, but also pray that “no one falls” for the final of the Copa del Rey on Saturday, in Seville against Real Madrid.
“We have to show our faces and we have to compete, as always. We have to have that freshness because in that field the wear and tear is very great, and we have to threaten them too. They are playing LaLiga but we want to play a good game”, he told the wheel press.
“The plan is to get a good result and at the same time that no one falls for us on Saturday. We need sensations and we also have to take advantage of tomorrow’s game for that. Our obligation is to play tomorrow and have a good game, although of course there are a lot of noise and it is normal because it is the week of the Cup”, he was sincere.
Despite coming from losing against Real Sociedad at home (0-2), he believes that being able to get something positive out of Barcelona depends on them. “Against rivals who are among the first, when you have bad moments, you pay for it. Everything happens to be regular and we were not on Friday,” he lamented.
“As much as I have things on my mind, I don’t know what ’11’ I’m going to get on Saturday. We’re also playing things for Saturday,” he said about whether or not he thinks about rotating. “We live on emotions and sometimes you have to give free rein to those emotions,” she appealed.
And it is that, thinking about that cup final against Real Madrid, he acknowledged: “There is only one way to win that final, drawing on emotions and playing with the illusion of all the people, to play all together. He believes that playing against Barça could be a good preparation for that cup final. “I have seen the people very excited, the fact of having a party helped yesterday. The people have come wanting to train and play tomorrow. The matches are similar in terms of the potential of the teams, the two best. The scenarios are different, the eleven, the style… They are different, but both are very complicated,” he said.
“Barça have the quality to hurt you but they have improved above all in the defensive aspect, they have scored very few goals against them and that will surely make them champions. I want to see my team in a difficult scenario, against the best team in LaLiga, and see what he is capable of doing and what level he gives. And I want to see some players. For that, this match is good”, he said in this regard.
Arrasate acknowledged that Barça will force them to defend for a long time. “They will lead us to be in a high and low block, but I want to see if the team is capable of going out and threatening and making a team run backwards that receives very few goals at the Camp Nou,” he warned.
