The Spanish Jagoba Arrasate renewed this Monday as coach of Club Atlético Osasuna until June 30, 2024, extending his relationship with the red team for two more seasons, as confirmed by the Navarrese team in a statement.
“Club Atlético Osasuna has reached an agreement with Jagoba Arrasate for his renewal until June 30, 2024. The coach has extended his contractual relationship with the rojilla entity for two more seasons. His second coach has also extended his relationship for the same period , Bittor Alkiza, and the physical trainer, Sergi Pérez,” the club announced.
The renewal act, open to fans, will take place this Tuesday at El Sadar. Berriatua’s coach will be accompanied by the club’s president, Luis Sabalza, and the sports director, Braulio Vázquez.
Arrasate, who arrived at the red entity in 2018, after coaching Real Sociedad and Numancia, is completing his fourth season at Osasuna. In his first year at the Navarrese club, he achieved promotion to LaLiga Santander, after becoming champion of LaLiga Smartbank. In the following two seasons, he managed to achieve comfortable stays with a tenth and eleventh place, respectively. Last Saturday, Osasuna reached 35 points after beating Villarreal, which places the team with an income of eleven points above the relegation positions.
“In addition to his sports results, Jagoba Arrasate has earned the affection of the fans thanks to his humility, commitment and identification with the values of Club Atlético Osasuna. With his renewal, the rojillo entity reinforces a sports project that aspires to settle in First Division,” concluded the club’s statement.
