Arenga de Setién and Sarabia with Semedo as the protagonist

Quique Setién and Eder Sarabia took advantage of the start of training this Friday to gather all their players on the Tito Vilanova de la Ciutat Esportiva field. For almost ten minutes, the technicians harangued their men, with a Setien, taking off the mask to make themselves better understood, and a Sarabia, much more vehement in their explanations, including fuss.

In the talk, with all the players of the squad present, except the French Ousmane Dembélé, who is working apart from the group as he is not registered in LaLiga, there was an unexpected protagonist: the Portuguese Nelson Semedo. The right back was summoned by Setién at the end of the talk to give the pertinent explanations to the group and the player did so. Briefly, but clearly, Semedo apologized to the group for their exemplary behavior. “It is a simple mistake”, Setien himself quickly hastened to clarify, before concluding the talk.

It must be remembered that Semedo participated in a birthday dinner last Monday where he ignored the LaLiga security protocol by not keeping the security distance and exceeding the limit of people allowed on the premises. Fortunately, the tests that the player underwent on Thursday tested negative for coronavirus and he was able to return to training on Friday.

Who is waiting for good news at the end of the session is the French Samuel Umtiti. The center-back injured himself in the soleus of his right leg on the second day of training, needing three weeks of recovery. Now he already has almost fifteen days with the group, so everything indicates that he will be discharged and will be able to travel to Mallorca. Another who will also be available is Brazilian midfielder Arthur, after overcoming ankle problems that prevented him from playing the last two games before confinement.

For his part, Luis Suárez will debut in a call with Quique Setién after having been on leave for almost five months due to an injury to the meniscus of his right knee. Setién has already guaranteed the presence of the charrúa in the starting eleven that jumps in Son Moix, although he has qualified that he will not play the whole game.

The great novelty in Quique Setien's first post-confinement list is that he will be able to summon a total of 23 players. Taking into account that he has 17 of the first team -Clement Lenglet will not travel when he is sanctioned- he will be able to take a total of six players from the subsidiary.
