Approved and suspended of an anticompetitive Espanyol

Diego Lopez: In the first ten minutes of the game he had to make up to four worthwhile interventions against the avalanche of Getafe. The goalkeeper appeared and became huge against Athletic. He could not do more in the 1-0 of Unal but, on the other hand, he did not measure well the exit in the 2-1 of the same forward. Aleñá’s pass goes so high and close to the small area that Diego must have come out.

Aleix Vidal: Again he acted as a side, a position for which he was not signed, before the loss of Óscar Gil. Overcome in the first half, he failed to stop Koffi’s internships nor did he manage to connect with the next line of play when he had the ball. In the second half he went deeper into the side and put a center, but without too much precision.

Sergi Gomez: He failed to score in his years in Seville, but instead has already made his debut as a scorer with Espanyol. His success does not cover his gray encounter. He came out in the 1-0 picture by not aggressively blocking Unal’s Chilean, and later he was also soft. Getafe created chances in the area and their forward was the best.

Cabrera: He finished off the crossbar in the corner that led to the 1-1. It is the second wood auction of the season. The Uruguayan was Espanyol’s most dangerous striker in the absence of RdT, a task that is not his turn. Defensively he was impregnable in the air game but lacking in the actions that won his back, such as Unal’s 2-1.

Pedrosa: Getafe unbalanced on their side in the first half. He could not stop Nyom or Damián, two players slower but with more corpulence, so they tried to find that side in the air game. In attack, the youth squad was less than usual due to Espanyol’s little dominance of the game. His internships, yes, were Espanyol’s best offensive argument in the second half. Perhaps the only one.

Morlanes: His game was inconsequential. Without control of the ball, asphyxiated by the pressure of Getafe, the midfielder did not touch the ball in the first 20 minutes. When the blue and white calmed down, the Aragonese helped to start the plays, but it was neither his day nor Espanyol’s.

Darder: The midfielder was substituted at half-time after a gray first half, like the rest of the team. In the first 20 minutes, Espanyol did not go beyond midfield and Darder barely interacted with the game. A pass into space for Pedrosa and a yellow card for a tackle from behind were his only transcendent actions.

Nico Melamed.

Melendo: Disappeared in the first 45 minutes. Defensively outmatched, with no option to help the midfield as Getafe attacked in the outer lanes, he barely managed to play in the rival field due to the high density of Azulones players in that area. The player was substituted to change the system.

Embarrass: The captain was not a decisive player in the absence of RdT. His passivity when fighting a ball with Koffi led to Unal’s shot, while in attack he had a clear chance in the first half that he threw into the body of the goalkeeper, who cleared easily. All the fouls he threw went to the barrier and, although he managed to unbalance, Getafe stopped him with fouls.

In the eyes: The forward showed that he is not a pure nine, that he needs someone with him to be able to be transcendent in the game. An offside header that shattered Soria were his only actions. Technically imprecise and slow in his movements, he failed to create danger. The azulones centrals controlled it well.

Nico Melamed: The number 21 maintains the irregularity in its first year in First. At the Coliseum he had to offer his most discreet face. Overtaken by Nyom on defense, he was penalized by Espanyol’s direct and obfuscated style of play. He did not manage to overflow or throw at the door and ended up replaced.

Loren: Although there was speculation with his ownership, the Andalusian finally played 45 minutes after the break with 1-1. Disappeared, without winning duels or continuing the game. The forward is not in this Espanyol.

Yangel: Little by little he is accumulating minutes, but this time, and after the good feelings in Elche, the Venezuelan was overcome by the circumstances of the meeting. Getafe handcuffed Espanyol. Yangel covered ground but failed to help build the game or reach the shot from the second row on the sidelines of a goal disallowed for offside.

Puado: He came out on the left side, although he acted in all attack positions. He forced corners and finished off a chance that was deflected. It was diluted in the anti-competitive perica.

Keidi Bare: The midfielder gave him strength and character, also another rhythm to the team in pressure, but it was not enough. Nor could he influence more.

Wu Lei: Intrascendent. Played the add-on.
