Diego Lopez: The veteran goalkeeper was pictured 1-2 in the 98th minute of the game. A shot from Lemar failed to clear it out of the goal and came crying into the net. Previously, the 39-year-old goalkeeper had not had too many problems thanks to the good work of his defense. He did not make outstanding saves and was confident in the air and with his feet. His defense protected him, less in that final stretch in which he was not successful.
Oscar Gil: With the constant help of Aleix Vidal, the Spaniard had to dance with Carrasco, a player just as dangerous in space as with the ball at his feet. Overcome at some point in time, he managed to stop most attacks, but not in the action of the goal or in the 1-2. They both came by his side. On this occasion, he hardly deepened on the right, only in a few bars of Blue and White dominance in the first half.
Calero: He played with discomfort and had to be substituted at half-time. In those 45 minutes Calero controlled Suárez's unchecking, helped Óscar Gil and did not commit any massive defensive errors. In his debut this course, he had a remarkable first half helped by the defensive solidarity of a Espanyol who defended near his area.
Cabrera: The Uruguayan center-back repeated his lights and some of the usual shadows. He was the best in the area, a giant in the aerial game and making a mark of merit to his compatrioita Luis Suárez, while with the ball he did not manage to connect with the center of the field except for a meritorious walk that he left alone (although out of game) to RdT. With the 1-0, the Uruguayan increased and was a leader in defense.
Pedrosa: The left-back has become a stable, regular player. In the first half, he showed off his physical display in two actions that generated chances. One of Embarba, who was slow in the auction, and another whose center did not find a finisher. In the defensive phase he controlled the right side, although the entry of Lemar caused him more problems.
Morlanes: He played six, that position in which he does not feel so comfortable, but in which he can shine for his characteristics. With good footing, he filtered passes from the inside overcoming lines that connected with Darder and Melendo, although he was still somewhat shy. Defensively he contributed to the level of his teammates. He lacks minutes, but a good course is predicted.
Darder: His first part of a recital of technical actions and physical display. A superlative Darder who in the 15th minute starred in an individual action that led him to the corner to put a cross and minutes later he chained two characteristic roulette wheels that made it impossible for Koke and Llorente to take the ball from him and raised the applause. He worked, gave criteria and was the general of the midfield.
Aleix Vidal: His mission in the game was clear: to help Óscar Gil against Carrasco and Hermoso, the two players who weave the attack game. And in Catalan, which made its headline debut, it did the job. In attack he was slower in his actions, lacked rhythm, and was substituted in the 75th minute.
Melendo: After three days without participation, the youth squad debuted in a big way. On the right side of 4-3-3 he gave calm and judgment to the Blue and White attacks, without much participation but with two or three dangerous passes looking for Pedrosa or RdT. The playmaker was one more piece of the excellent parakeet puzzle.
Embarba: The winger does not need to participate too much in the game. Embarba likes more the plays than playing, his dribbling and shots, his mischief, like the one that was about to give Espanyol the first goal with an anticipation and a crossed shot as soon as he started. In the 39th minute another blow was taken from the hat that Oblak cleared for a corner. It was the prelude to the goal from a corner, to the center of him. In the second half he was more imprecise, supportive that yes in defense.
Raúl de Tomás: His goal is a work of art, a header at the first post turning the neck to the long post. Oblak could only accompany her as a butler. The forward shone in some technical actions, he worked defensively but had no more chances apart from a one-on-one action against Oblak that he did not resolve although he was called offside.
Recasens: At 19 he had to make his debut in the First Division against Griezmann and Luis Suárez due to Calero's injury. The player found a game context with a retracted Espanyol defending 1-0, which helped him to have constant help. He came out in the action of the canceled 1-1 and then in the real one, when Carrasco's portfolio was stolen in the area in an action in which the rest of the defense sinned by passivity.
Keidi Bare: The player gave Morlanes rest in the center of the field. He had only two training sessions after playing for Albania. He made band aids although he did not react in time to defend Carrasco at 1-1. With the ball he committed some loss but it gave him strength and had to multiply to defend against Darder's fatigue.
Loren: Disconnected in attack against Espanyol at the mercy of Atlético, he managed to get some fouls that gave air to the parakeet team, but he could hardly intervene in the game or create imbalances.
Nico: Number 21 came out and all of Cornellà-El Prat thundered. The youth squad, located on the left, was not lucky enough to connect to the game with dangerous actions in a match dominated at the end by Atlético.
Dimata: He created and made fouls, a fighter in each duel, Diego López's target in goal kicks. The Belgian could not do more.
