The businesswoman is going through one of the most difficult times of her life since she lost her husband, just fifteen days apart, last August. Carlos Goyanes (79), and his eldest daughter, Carita (46), both victims of a heart attack. In December, tragedy struck the family again with the death of Manuelbrother of Cari and Myriam Lapique. Alfonso Cortina’s widow has become her sister’s greatest support and this Wednesday they went together to the Teatro Real to enjoy the opera ‘Eugenio Oneguin’, by the Russian Tchaikovsky.
This is Cari Lapique’s first leisurely outing since the tragedy, since until now we had only been able to see her at her work, a showroom on Madrid’s Golden Mile, to which she returned last October supported by friends like Ana Rosa Quintana . On this occasion, Cari has reappeared with her sister, who does not separate from her in this painful duel.
Cari and Myriam have always been very close and recent family losses have made their bond even stronger. Next January 29 we will see them again in the Parish of San Agustín, attending the funeral in memory of their brother Manuel, who died at the age of 70 at the Ramón y Cajal hospital, where he was admitted for an illness diagnosed a few months before.
