Aperribay, president of Real, suspended three games

Jokin Aperribay, president of Real Sociedad, has been sanctioned with three suspension matches by the Competition Committee of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). The manager exploded at the break of the match against Granada at Reale Arena. He went down to the collegiate locker room to protest angrily at Roberto Soldado's goal at the end of the first half, considering that he scored in an anti-regulatory position. “This is a shame, we are always the same”, he said in a high tone of voice. The referee of the meeting, the Valencian Martínez Munuera, reflected it in the minutes of the match.

Juan Martínez Munuera, the referee of the match, recorded the incident in the ‘Other incidents’ section of his minutes, and it reflected literally: “After finishing the first part and when we were in the changing room tunnel we met the President of the Real Sociedad de Fútbol SAD club, D. Jokin Aperribay Bedialauneta who had come down from the box and accompanied us to the door of our locker room with a threatening attitude while repeatedly addressing us in the following terms: “This is a shame, we are always the same!”.

The Competition Committee, meeting this Saturday, rejected the allegations made by the Royal Society for understanding that “What is reflected in the arbitration record is not distorted and, rather the contrary, it is confirmed that the Club President went to the changing room tunnel and made statements of inconsideration”, therefore, it does not consider that there is a manifest material error in the minutes.

“From all the writings analyzed, on the other hand, It does not seem that there were threats in the strict sense, but a mere attitude of deep unease and defiance of the President before what he considered an injustice. In any case, it would be an act of unequivocal disregard for the members of the association, and which is more serious as it comes from the President of the Club, from whom a greater weight can be expected. “Therefore, imposed three games of suspension on Aperribay for attitudes of contempt or inconsideration towards the referees, managers or sports authorities (article 117 of the Disciplinary Code), as well as agreed a fine to the club of 1,050 euros in application of article 52.

The president of Real Sociedad has already had an incident with the referees since he heads the Donostia club. It happened five years ago, on December 30, 2015, in a match at the Santiago Bernabéu, remembered because it was when he suffered a new serious knee injury Canales and because it was when Keylor Navas injured Imanol Agirretxe, an entry that would later lead him to withdraw from professional football. The collegiate did not whistle or miss in that action. After the first part of the match, with Real feeling clearly harmed by the referee, José Luis González González, Aperribay also went down to the referee's locker room and yelled at him. “This is a shame, you have come to steal our game. I am going to file a complaint against the police”, reflected the referee in the minutes. In this precedent, the Competition Committee imposed a financial fine of 1,500 euros.

La Real resorts to the Elustondo card as it is misprinted in the minutes

La Real a Sociedad has appealed the yellow card that Aritz Elustondo saw in the game against Granada this past Friday, due to a bad writing by the referee in the minutes of the match. “The Club has presented allegations to the card reflected in the minutes to the player Aritz Elustondo in the 77th minute for taking down an opponent since the aforementioned player had been substituted in the 69th minute,” announces Real Sociedad.
