Anti-doping control by surprise to La Roja

The national team has undergone a surprise doping control tonight. Upon arrival at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas, 15 of the 24 internationals, chosen at random, had to pass a control carried out by the Spanish Agency for Health Protection in Sports.

The internationals trained at the Wanda Metropolitano at 7:00 p.m. in an open session for 20 minutes to the media. When the training ended and they arrived at the residence where the entire European Championship is concentrated, they were waiting for them to do the surprise anti-doping control.

It is a common practice before and during major competitions and this time it has been carried out by AEPSAD, which is competent in these matters in Spain. The National Team lives in a bubble and follows the protocol for the prevention of Covid-19 established by UEFA.
