Ángel Torres: “Kubo wants to come”

Ángel Torres, president of Getafe, assured this Thursday that the Japanese Takefusa Kubo, currently on loan to Villarreal by Real Madrid, wants to play for his club until the end of the course and pointed out that it seems “a matter of time” for the arrival of the Japanese player.

After obtaining the loan of Barcelona player Carles Aleñá, Torres tries to close what would be the second and last reinforcement for Getafe in the winter market. If he does not succeed, he assured, he will end the season with the squad he has available.

“We have asked Real Madrid (Kubo). If they fix it, he will come and if we don't we will throw away what we have. I think there is no problem. Time problem. The boy does want to come, both Villarreal and Real Madrid want fix it, “he said in statements to the media at the exit of the Alfonso Pérez Coliseum.

“If it is fixed, which is three-way, the boy will come. And if we don't throw with what we have, we have a good squad. Nobody's obstacles. They are bureaucratic procedures, it is a three-way issue and you have to take it three-way I think he will come. The kid is very young, he wants to play and we are going to wait a few days, “he added.

For Torres, Aleñá is the reinforcement for the right zone of the center of the field that Getafe wanted and affirmed that if another player like Kubo arrives it will be good and if not, too. “Happy with your arrival, let's see if you can help us,” he said.

Finally, he spoke about the current situation of Getafe, on the verge of relegation and eliminated this week from the Copa del Rey by a Second Division B club like Córdona.

“There is no need to worry, we are Getafe. This year is complicated and difficult. They have eliminated us because they have been better than us. Congratulate Córdoba and focus on what is ours, which is the League,” he stated.
