Ángel Correa renews with Atlético until 2026

MADRID, 4 One. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Argentine footballer Ángel Correa will play for Atlético de Madrid for four more seasons, until 2026, after both parties have reached an agreement and the forward has signed his new contract with the rojiblanca entity.

Correa joined Diego Pablo Simeone’s team in December 2014, and since then he has played 305 games with the red-and-white elastic, has scored 53 goals, the last two last Sunday against Rayo Vallecano, and has provided 51 assists. He is currently the third player in the squad with the most matches to his credit (305), only behind Koke (519) and Oblak (323).

The one from Rosario made his debut as a mattress player in LaLiga Santander on August 22, 2015 against UD Las Palmas at the Vicente Calderón, a stadium where he was the last rojiblanco scorer in his history before the change to Wanda Metropolitano.

His record includes the 2018 Europa League won against Olympique de Marseille, this year’s European Super Cup against Real Madrid and the LaLiga Santander title last season, in which he scored 9 goals and provided 9 assists.
