Andreescu wins her first Grand Slam and prevents the 24th for Serena

Yes, the Canadian Bianca Andreescu upset Serena Williams by 6-3 and 7-5 in the US Open final to win her very first US Open Final, nay, her first-ever Grand Slam final. Bianca has always wanted and dreamt of playing with Serena Williams.

Above all, she’s very kind-hearted. She came up to me in the locker room; she said some really nice things, which I’ll cherish for a really, really long time,”

This is the second time in a row that Williams has lost for the second time in a row. In 2018, she lost to Naomi Osaka of Japan. She too gave credit to her opponent, saying “I honestly didn’t play my best today. I could have played better. That’s the only solace that I can take right now.”
