Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti this Wednesday became the coach with the most victories in the history of the European Cup, with 116, leaving behind the Scot Alex Ferguson.
“It is a great honor to reach this number of victories in this competition,” explained the Madrid coach after the victory against Braga at the Santiago Bernabéu (3-0).
The Italian is already the coach with the most victories in the history of the top European competition with 116 wins, in 21 editions on the bench. Ancelotti distributes his wins among eight teams: Milan (42), Real Madrid (40), Chelsea (10), Bayern Munich (7), PSG (6), Naples (5), Parma (4) and Juventus (2).
The Real Madrid coach achieves one more milestone in the Champions League, where he has already coached 201 games and is the only coach to have won the title four times (2003, 2007, 2014 and 2022).
