Ana Rosa Quintana has returned to Telecinco almost a year after she was diagnosed with cancer that forced her to withdraw from television. The presenter has returned to lead her program and has done so with an editorial in which she has spoken of the time she has been away from the screens and, also, of the economic measures that are being taken to tackle the crisis economic. In this sense, the presenter has recovered the critical tone that she had before leaving television.

“It’s been a bit long for me, but I’m here,” Ana Rosa began her program this Monday. The presenter has appeared alone on the screen and wearing the new look – short and dyed blonde hair – that she already showed for the first time a few months ago, when he reappeared, at the beginning of the summer, with his program partners at a party organized by his production company.
“I have an eternal debt with the immense affection that has come to me from everyone. My colleagues, people I don’t know… Even the pope has sent me a blessed rosary,” said the presenter, who has remarked on the “love in my house, my husband, children and friends. Without them everything would have been harder”.
Ana Rosa has also sent a message to the “thousands of women who are going through the same thing. I’m not going to keep anything inside, so I’ll tell you everything you want to know about this year.” Likewise, she has recognized that throughout these months she has missed numerous events that she has not been able to relate as a presenter. “The journalism bug has not left me, despite the fact that I have had to follow the news from the sofa at home,” she commented. “I have witnessed in the distance how a war broke out and how an unprecedented crisis devastated us. How the price of electricity broke records, how the leader of the opposition resigned and how the queen of England died. And today I return and I find myself with the crisis of the judiciary”.
Ana Rosa: “It’s a miracle that I’m here”
At this point, Ana Rosa has launched a harsh criticism of the Government’s economic measures. “During these months I have also had time to go to the market and verify that we are facing the most expensive prices in history”, he commented before speaking of the “miracle of the elections”, in view of the fact that he believes that many of the decisions that are being taken obey a pre-electoral context. “Isn’t it a miracle that pensions can be raised by 8.5%? That the autonomies lower personal income tax, even those who criticized it? Now they give 100 euros a month for children, free trips, officials are going to see a rise of 9.5%… Do not tell me that it is not miraculous that in the middle of the crisis we spend more than ever”, he remarked. “Ask and it will be granted to you. It is the miracle of the multiplication of the votes and the fish. But it is a miracle that I am here”.
