Ana Peleteiro misses out on the podium in the triple jump at Paris 2024

MADRID, 3 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Spanish athlete Ana Peleteiro was unable to repeat her success of three years ago in Tokyo, when she won bronze, and finished sixth in the triple long jump final at the Paris Olympics this Saturday, after a very difficult competition.

The Galician, current European champion, was not at her best in a complex final due to the rain and the level of her rivals. Her best jump was 14.59 metres, eight centimetres away from the bronze, which went to the American Jasmine Moore. The gold went to the athlete from Dominica Thea Lanfond, the only one who went over 15 metres (15.02), while the silver went to the Jamaican Shanieka Ricketts (14.87).
