An assistant referee dies in a match in Murcia

Tragedy has hit the world of football again. An assistant referee has passed away this Sunday during the match that faced Montecasillas against San Ginés de la Jara de Primera Autonómica, as reported by the Football Federation of the Region of Murcia.

The only 19-year-old referee, Fernando Alcaraz, collapsed during the warm-up prior to the game, which was to be played from 5:00 p.m.

A SUAP ambulance and an UME traveled to the field, but despite practicing resuscitation maneuvers, they could do nothing to save the young referee's life.
