The initiative is part of the agreement signed between the club and the Madrid City Council. The agreement was signed in December 2006 and is renewed each season. It provides for the coach of the women’s team to participate in talks in various schools to promote sport among girls and women and raise awareness of women’s sport.
This is a campaign to be developed in all schools in the District of Villa de Vallecas “to encourage sports practice in girls and women between 12 and 24 years old, through talks given by professional athletes, within the parameters of the Girls program, sport makes us powerful from the Madrid City Council”.
However, sources from the Madrid City Council assure the SER that Santiso will not participate in these talks, since the choice of speakers corresponds to the Delegated Area of Sport and “in no case” among those chosen will be the current coach of the women’s team of the Ray.
