The new coach of the Spanish women’s handball team, Ambros Martín, has summoned 35 players this Friday for a concentration that they will carry out in Cantabria between June 8 and 14, in his first activity in command of the national team after having replaced Jose Ignacio Prades.
As reported by the Royal Spanish Handball Federation (RFEBM), “the objective is to have a first contact with the selected players.” “Martín thus makes a first working group with which he will carry out demanding training sessions throughout the seven days of concentration,” the press release has indicated.
“Testing the physical level of the players and beginning to provide tactical automation to the team are two of the objectives of the activity in Cantabrian lands”, the text added, thinking already of the qualifying phase for the 2024 European Championship and the final phase of the World Championship that will be held this year.
The ‘Guerreras’ will meet on June 8 in Hoznayo, where they will remain until the 14th, and will do training sessions at the La Cantábrica Sports Complex (Shipyard), the Guillermo Cortés Sports Center (Guarnizo) and the Entrambasaguas Sports Center.
