The National Women’s Handball coach, Ambros Martín, valued with good note the International Tournament City of Manzanares (Ciudad Real), after the victories about Argentina and Austria, and confided that Spain will arrive prepared for the decisive ‘Playoff’ against Croatia in April in search of the next World Cup.
“We are happy. The day before yesterday we were able to suffer and turn the game against Argentina with a great second half and today it was more the other way around. Today we have made a great first time and perhaps that made the intensity in the second stretch a bit,” he said in statements provided by the Royal Spanish Handball Federation (RFEBM).
The Canarian coach, who celebrated the “extraordinary environment” in Manzanares, explained that improvement in 32-25 this Saturday against Austria. “We stay with many good things and others that we still have to insist. We are going through a good line and surely the time we spend together will give us greater regularity in all our actions. We have corrected everything that did not work in the game against Argentina,” he said.
“We put it into practice in the training sessions we had and that has served us to go out today with the much clearest ideas in defense and attack. We have been very effective in the first half, very anticipative in the defense and we have played a lot to the counterattack. It is also important that, when the rivals put them added.
In addition, Martín already referred to the tie against Croatia for a World Cup ticket. “Now it is important that the players rest and in their clubs continue to take the rhythm. We hope to avoid injuries and get physically well to that tie and then, the same, everything we can improve with respect to this tournament, we will try to do it, as well as reaffirm the things we are doing well,” he ended.
