Amancio Ortega rises ten places on the Forbes list of the richest and surpasses Zuckerberg

The magazine has published this Tuesday the updated list of the greatest fortunes on the planet and the owner of Inditex It has given the surprise by climbing ten positions with respect to the one it occupied in 2022. Amancio Ortega He has been one of the few elite businessmen who has come out on top with his latest business moves, earning 17.7 billion euros in his accounts.

He is not the only one: the co-founder of Bloomberg LP and former mayor of New York have also won Michael Bloomberg (12,500 euros), the Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim (11,800 euros) or Bernard Arnault, head of LVMH (53,000 million), which has been at the top of the list. For others there has been no such luck: Elon Musk has fallen to number 2 (with a loss of 39,000 million euros) and Jeff Bezos It ranks third, one less than in 2022, after losing 57,000 million euros. Between the pazo and the yacht

At 87 years old and despite being one of the richest men in the world, Amancio enjoys a “simple” life. He lives with his wife Flora Perez, in a duplex next to the Coruña beach in Orzán, where it is common to see him walking or having a coffee in his trusted bar. However, he spends long periods of time in what has become his private refuge, the Pazo de Droso, in Anceis. It has more than 4,500 square meters and was built in the 17th century.
